Arrigo Sacchi: Barcelona Erred In Signing Ibrahimovic & Real Madrid Can Reach Champions League Final
Sacchi made some controversial comments to the Catalunyan press...
By Cyrus C. Malek
"Barcelona made a mistake in signing [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic. He is a fantastic player individually speaking, but in a team he does not do well with others. His style of play is solitary," said Sacchi. "I already told Pep [Guardiola] that he had signed the best individual player in the world because he [Ibra] has everything - scoring ability, strength, talent - but he has problems. I hope he is able to resolve them. Right now he is suffering, but in 15 days everything could be better. It could be fantastic."
Sacchi also commented on today's Champions League fixture between Real Madrid and Lyon. "One needs to have confidence in the players. I think Madrid will come back. They are playing very well with a very high morale. They have incredible quality as individuals and they are also improving collectively. It is a crucial time that will mark Madrid's entire season. If they progress today, they will reach the final."
