Barcelona's Eric Abidal Begins Second Phase Of Recovery
Barca's starting left-back may be back in the line-up sooner rather than later...
By Cyrus C. Malek
As reported by Marca, Barcelona's Eric Abidal began the second stage of his recovery from a muscle tear today, and for the first time took to the training pitch to take part in a light jog. Abidal was reported to have been ruled out for between six and eight weeks, and already four have passed since the Frenchman sustained the injury.
Abidal also engaged in some light training alongside team-mates Gabi Milito, Thierry Henry and Seydou Keita, the latter of which is well on his way to making his return to the squad.
Henry looks ready to come back from an Achilles tendon injury in time for this weekend's Liga fixture against Valencia.
Although today was a day off granted by coach Pep Guardiola, some players chose to still come into training today.
