Atletico Madrid forward Jose Antonio Reyes has insisted that he did not deserve to get sent off in the 1-1 draw away to Real Zaragoza.

Reyes, wo was the target of a physical Zaragoza side throughut the contest, was dismissed after he threw an arm at Eliseu following a tough challenge from the Portuguese midfielder midway through the second half.

He maintains the red card was unfair and stated that he doesn't expect to receive anything more than a one match ban for the dismissal.

"I am very angry because it's a pretty unfair dismissal. I've talked to Eliseu and he knows that I didn't touch him at any time, he fell and the referee blew [his whistle]," Reyes said, as quoted by AS.

"I have no fear for a penalty of more than one game, it's unlikely, I think on TV they can see that I did not touch him at any time."
