Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has declared that a mistake from his side now could prove very costly with Real Madrid hot on the champions heels in the Primera Liga race.

Going into tonight's game away to Almeria, Guardiola feels the statistics are good so far this season for the champions.

"So far in this competition, I think the statistics so far are good. There are two months and a little more to finish the league and any setback at this stage would leave be costly. We give a lot in every game and this is no exception. Now a mistake is going to cost us," Guardiola told a press conference.

Guardiola also declared suggestions the league title would be decided at the Bernabeu were off the mark.

"It's false to say that the league will be resolved in the match at the Santiago Bernabeu. There are many games to go," he noted.
