Barcelona Forward Bojan Krkic: I Am Comfortable Playing On The Wing
Bojan issued some comments in his post-training interview...
By Cyrus C. Malek
In a post-training press conference reported by Sport, Barcelona's Bojan Krkic admitted that he would like "to have more minutes" in matches, but that "one cannot complain" and that he will continue to work very hard to continue "growing and taking advantage of opportunities."
"Obviously, I would like to have more minutes, but I am not obsessing over a starting role. I am focused on the present and am motivated in my work."
When commenting on being used on the wing rather than his more customary central role, Bojan showed his willingness to adapt.
"It gives me more opportunities to provide assists than to score goals, but that's just fine since I'm very comfortable on the wing."
With respect to the rest of the team, Bojan recognised a dip in form but maintained his confidence that all would be sorted out in due time.
"A season is very long and we are human. The important thing is that we know how to recover because we are united. Our current string of victories is very positive, we are strong, and we are confident that we can do something with this season."
For the young forward, El Clasico to be held on April 11th at the Santiago Bernabeu will not be the determining factor of the Liga race because it will not decide the title.
"It will be an important encounter, but not the determining match. We do not just have to be concentrated on that match. Both us and Madrid are very strong, but there are other teams that are also difficult and one has to respect them because one can be defeated in any match."
Finally, the youngster expressed his hope to be called up for the Spanish U-21 squad.
"I hope to be called up to La Seleccion and I will work hard for that. The objective is to have everything return to normal for me."
