The young Argentine could spark a bidding war between Los Blancos and the Blaugrana...
According to Portuguese publication A Bola, the list of clubs pursuing the mercurial winger is long, with a number of economic powerhouses among the names including Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, along with the two Spanish giants.
At just 22 years old, Di Maria is one of the Portuguese Superliga's biggest stars. Although he has not scored goals with regularity this season, with just four in 26 matches, the left-sided winger is both skilful and fast, serving as the provider for nine goals this season.
Di Maria has a contract at Benfica until 2015 and could fetch as much as €40 million in a transfer deal.
