A Five Point Gap To Barcelona Is Nothing - Real Madrid's Karim Benzema
The Frenchman is confident that Los Blancos can make up the deficit and clinch the title...

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has played down the idea that the race for the Primera Division title is already over, intimating that Los Merengues can still overhaul Barcelona at the summit.
The Blaugrana are still unbeaten in the league this season and have conceded just 10 goals in 20 games, but the former Olympique Lyonnais man is not fazed.
"Five points is nothing," Benzema told Marca when he was quizzed about the lead that Pep Guardiola's side hold.
However, the task of eating into Barcelona's advantage has often been left to other players, while Benzema warms the substitutes' bench. Gonzalo Higuain's recent injury has given the Frenchman an opportunity to show his worth, and he knows that he must grasp it.
"No player is happy to sit on the bench," he mused.
"If I do well, I know that I will continue to be in the starting XI. It's all down to me."
Benzema was also eager to point out that his rivalry with Higuain was only on a professional level, as they get along well with each other off the pitch.
"I joke a lot with Higuain, even though we are playing for the same place," he explained.
Los Blancos may be eight points behind Barcelona by the time that they kick off against Espanyol at 22.00 CET this evening, but can take heart from the fact that they have won six of the last eight meetings between the sides.
