Barcelona youngster Bojan Krkic has committed his future to Barcelona, insisting that his only goal this season is to get back in Pep Guardiola’s first team.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs during the winter transfer window, most notably Manchester City who are thought to be desperate to seal a loan move for the youngster.

“I want to work,” Bojan told Spanish daily Sport, “to continue to grow and be surrounded by all these people. My desire is to continue at Barca."

Bojan burst onto the scene in 2007, wowing the whole of Europe when he made his Barca debut at just 17-years-old.

However, since all the early hype and expectation, the young forward’s career seems to have stalled. Amidst rumours of problems with anxiety, Bojan has made just one appearance for Spain and found himself on the periphery of the Barca first team.

“I don’t talk about what’s fair or unfair," he said about his lack of first team opportunities. “We have lots of players and a coach who decides [who plays] and we must respect his decisions."
