Napoli defender Matteo Contini has finally secured a move to Real Zaragoza, as confirmed by the Spanish club's official website, www.realzaragoza.com. The Serie A club had confirmed Contini was on the verge of a transfer earlier in the week, but the move was concluded on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old will move to the La Liga outfit on loan until the end of the 2009-10 season.

The hard-nosed centre-back has made 13 league appearances for the Partenopei this season and is known as a physical and no-nonsense style defender.

The player began his youth career with Serie A giants Milan, but never made an official appearance for the club. He became a first-team regular with Parma from 2004 to 2007, before joining Napoli, where he also had success.

The Italian will be presented by the Spanish club, who currently sit in the relegation zone with just 14 points, later this evening at a press conference.
