"It is very good news for the Barcelonismo," announced the Blaugrana patron. "It is the eighth title of the season."
A curious reporter then asked Laporta about the seventh title.
"The 6-2 victory in the Bernabeu. I love remembering it," Laporta replied.
"[Pep Guardiola's] contract will be signed with the new president, but we have Pep's word that he will be the coach," continued Laporta who insisted that the Barca tactician's continuity at the club was a unanimous decision of everyone at the Catalunyan outfit.
Finally, with respect to his successor as president in the upcoming spring elections, Laporta asked that the candidates not squander the best period in the club's history.
"My successor should not be worried about the coach. All he has to do is establish the terms of the contract with the best tactician in the world."
