Real Madrid target Sergio Canales has pledged his future to current club Racing Santander.
The youngster is currently the talk-of-the-town across Europe after recent performances have seen become one of the hottest young talents on the continent, attracting the attention of a number of the biggest clubs in the world including Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Despite being free to talk to any club he desires due to the fact that his current contract is set to expire this summer, the 18-year-old has admitted that his current team are the only side on his mind right now.
"Right now my preference is for Racing. They are the ones who have given me the confidence to play and make my debut at 18-years-old. Without ruling out anything, in the situation that I am in, I'm happy here," Canales is quoted in Marca as saying.
The Racing man went on to admit that he had been “somewhat surprised” by the massive media coverage surrounding him of late but confirmed he wouldn’t be getting carried away.
He told the press conference that while he has been "flattered" by all the attention he has been receiving, he was staying "calm" and admitted he "still has lots to learn".
