Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United last summer and the Portuguese international didn't waste any time in making an impact at his new club. Club legend Zinedine Zidane has told press that he's impressed with the way Ronaldo has adapted to his new surroundings.

"Ronaldo's style of play is very fascinating to see. And the short time in which he has adapted to the Primera Division is quite impressive," said Zidane to Iznews.

"He's a special player in my opinion. His high level of confidence has been a boost for the entire team. It's amazing to see what he has already achieved at Real Madrid at his relatively young age."

The former French international, currently working as an advisor to Los Blancos, also took the time to discuss the situation at Madrid's rivals Barcelona and picked out Spanish midfielder Andreas Iniesta and tricky forward Lionel Messi for special praise.

"I really like Iniesta's style of play. He's a crucial player for Barcelona and always thinks about the team first. However, Messi is their absolute stand-out player. You know that something will happen as soon as he touches the ball."
