Keirrison Won't Be Joining Real Zaragoza Or Xerez - Agent
'K9' is set to see out his entire loan spell in Portugal...
Barcelona youngster Keirrison will not be seeking an early end to his loan spell with Benfica, and his agent has moved quickly to deny any rumours of a premature return to La Liga.
The young Brazilian, who completed a €14 million move to Barcelona in the summer, was instantly sent to Portugal for a season of acclimatisation upon his arrival at Camp Nou.
Despite not being able to break into Benfica'a first team ahead of Javier Saviola and Oscar Cardozo, the Brazilian’s agent is adamant that he will not be seeking an early return to Spain despite rumours linking him with a short-term move to Xerez or Zaragoza.
The player’s agent, Marcos Malaquias, is quoted in Portuguese daily A Bolo as saying, “Keirrison does not want to leave Benfica, he is waiting for an opportunity to demonstrate his quality.”
'K9' has made just a handful of appearances since arriving in Portugal but Malaquias insisted he is working hard and will return to Barcelona at the end of the season.
“He does not want to go from club to club. He is a very professional player who trusts his chances," he said.
