Iker Casillas – 7.0: A virtual spectator for long spells of the match, as Mallorca rarely threatened his goal.

Alvaro Arbeloa – 7.0: The marauding full-back fed Ronaldo whenever possible and found himself in good areas of the pitch, providing good service into the area.

Raul Albiol – 7.0: Covered his part of the backline well and commanded the area expertly. Never allowed Aduriz any room.

Ezequiel Garay – 7.0: The Argentine is taking advantage of Pepe’s absence by solidifying the back line, and formed a good partnership with Raul Albiol in the centre.

Marcelo – 6.5: The full-back almost played a left-winger, getting forward whenever possible, and like Arbeloa he provided decent crosses into the box.

Fernando Gago – 7.0: Strolled through the match alongside Alonso, winning the ball and distributing it simply but effectively.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 7.0: Not his most influential evening but still managed to create two excellent openings. However, he will be disappointed not to have found the net.

Kaka – 6.0: His first match since the end of November, and it showed; The Brazilian looked a yard off of the pace and was replaced with twenty minutes remaining.

Rafael Van Der Vaart – 5.0: The Dutchman’s evening ended as a result of a calf injury after just twenty minutes, to be replaced by Esteban Granero.

Gonzalo Higuain – 8.0: Scored a stunning goal, cutting in from the right and curling a wonderful shot into the net. A willing runner, and created space and opportunities for his teammates, in an all round inspired display.
