thumbnail Hello,

The Chilean believes his side should have scored more...

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has said that his side's 2-0 victory over Mallorca did not represent how well his side had played in the victory.

Amidst heavy snow at the Santiago Bernabeu, Los Blancos secured a straightforward victory thanks to a sublime goal from Gonzalo Higuain, and a close-range volley from substitute Esteban Granero.

Mallorca did not produce the form that has seen them challenge for the Champions League places, but Pellegrini believed that his side had produced a performance worthy of a healthier margin of victory.

He said at the post-match press conference, "It was a very complete team game that deserved more goals. It was difficult to adapt to the climate, but the team did a great job.

"We faced a very difficult rival, who is playing well at the moment and have a lot of confidence, and although we missed many chances I'm happy with the points we have scored."

Real Madrid return to the top of the Primera Division table for a few hours at least, with Barcelona facing Tenerife in tonight's evening match.
