Valencia Owned Renan Looking To Foil His Current Employers

The Brazilian is looking forward to facing some familiar faces...

Valencia owned Brazilian goalkeeper Renan has warned his old team-mates he won’t be doing them any favours this weekend, as Xerez host Los Che.

The former Internacional man has had to move away from the Mestalla this season in the hunt for more first-team action, securing a loan move to newly promoted Xerez. Renan is well aware it will seem a little strange when he walks out onto the pitch this Sunday against his current employers.

Speaking to the official Xerez club website, the keeper admitted, "It will be a little weird because this is the first time I will face my team-mates.”

Xerez currently sit rock bottom of La Liga, six points adrift and will be desperate for three points this weekend, and Renan has no qualms about putting one over on his current club.

“We want to change our streak and be strong, to do harm to Valencia. We must get three points," he said.

"Valencia, when playing at home, are very strong. They know to take advantage of the players they have, but we have to make Chapin a fort and take the three points. The victory is very important to us," he said.
