Real Madrid's Guti Set To Return Against Mallorca

Guti finally makes his return to the Madrid squad list...

The suspensions of Lassana Diarra and Sergio Ramos, coupled with Pepe's season-ending injury, have opened the door for Guti to make his return to the Real Madrid squad list for this weekend's match against Mallorca.

As reported by Marca, the outspoken No. 14 has experienced a change in attitude and a recovery from injury, a combination that has kept the player out of action since Madrid's embarrassing 4-0 loss to Segunda B side Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey more than two months ago.

According to the report, Guti will rejoin his team-mates to train at full speed on Wednesday and should be in good condition to play on Saturday. Coach Manuel Pellegrini, who reportedly had a very strong disciplinary chat with Guti after the midfielder's impish behaviour in Madrid's matches against Sevilla and Alcorcon, could give the Spaniard some time on the pitch against the Islanders.
