Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid have set their sights on signing Argentinian youngster Eduardo Salvio and the Lanus attacker has made it clear that he's keen to join the Rojiblancos in January.

However, negotiations between both clubs haven't been going as smooth as expected. Therefore, Salvio has urged his club to lower their demands in order to make the transfer happen.

"Salvio is really looking forward to playing for Atletico Madrid. He has made up his mind and wants to join them," was the player's agent, Agustin Jimenez, quoted as saying by AS.

"Negotiations are still ongoing, but there's a gap to close before an agreement is reached. Atletico want to pay the transfer fee in installments, while Lanus want the entire amount at once."

The 19-year-old attacker is one of the most sought after youngsters around and has attracted the interest of several European clubs. Atletico Madrid appear to be sitting in pole position, but Fiorentina haven't given up on signing Salvio either.
