Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh has revealed during a break in his home country that he has been courted by several teams, most notably La Liga side Sevilla.

In an interview with Le Matin, the principal Moroccan sports daily in Casablanca, Bordeaux front man Chamakh announced that he had decided to "continue at Girondins until the end of the season" because he wants to "do great things this season in the Champions League".

He continued by saying nothing would shirk him from his intention to see out the season in France, "including if Arsenal were to make an offer in the January transfer window".

"When the season ends, I will meet with my agent and we will evaluate all of the offers and decide what is the best for me from a footballing point of view. The economics are not the only important thing for me," added the Moroccan international. He also admitted that Sevilla are one of the clubs that have demonstrated interest in his services, although not the only ones.

"My agent has been contacted by Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Chelsea and Sunderland in the Premier League along with other clubs like Sevilla, Inter and Juventus. However, we do not have a concrete offer on the table at the moment and it is still a bit soon for such things."

The 25-year-old Chamakh is very highly rated and is having a breakout season this year with the French champions, already having scored seven goals.
