Real Madrid Set To Bid For Manchester United Centre Half Nemanja Vidic - Report
The Serbian wants to leave England...
Real are said to have identified Vidic as the preferred option to step into the centre of Los Merengues defence after the loss of Pepe, through injury, for the rest of the season.
The Serbian defender is reported to be unhappy in England and it is suggested that Alex Ferguson is resigned to losing Vidic and has already identified Porto defender Bruno Alves as his replacement.
The 28-year-old was named in the FIFA World Team of the Year alongside John Terry of Chelsea and is now believed to be the latest step in Florentino Perez's new Galacticos project at Real Madrid.
Vidic's international team-mate Branislav Ivanovic is also believed to still be on the radar at the Bernabeu.
