Lanus Tell Atletico Madrid To Increase Salvio Bid
Los Colchoneros have first option on the Lanus star, but will need to find more money...
The Lanus star has been linked with the Colchoneros for a long time, but the Argentine club's president Nicolas Russo is not ready to conclude a deal just yet. Speaking to ESPN Radio, he said, "Atletico did not offer us what we asked."
"They will have preference in June, but he has not signed yet. He will stay to play in the Copa Libertadores.
"However, I hope that if he ever leaves Lanus, he joins Atleti, after all the effort they have made."
Therefore, with Sergio Aguero possibly leaving the Vicente Calderon in the summer, Salviol still looms as his most likely replacement, if Atletico improve their bid.
