Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema Escapes Car Smash Unharmed - Report
'Benz' is lucky to have walked free from a high-powered car smash...
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has escaped without a scratch after being involved in a car smash on the Reunion Island while celebrating his birthday.
According to local media reports on the Island, the accident happened while Benzema was driving to a party from the hotel where he was staying.
Marca claims it is unknown as to whether Benzema was driving a yellow Lamborghini or if a Porsche was travelling behind, suggesting a race took place between both cars.
The player was unhurt, but the Lamborghini suffered damage to its front right panel as well as a burst tyre and broken wheel.
It's the second time in less than a month that the Frenchman has been involved in a traffic accident. In November he walked away unscathed after smashing his Audi into a wall near his home in Madrid.
