OFFICIAL: Juan Manuel Lillo Takes Over As Coach Of Almeria
Lillo replaces Hugo Sanchez...
Lillo has signed a contract at the Estadio del Medierraneo until the end of the season, and his quest will be to keep Almeria up following their difficult start to the season that sees them currently fourth from bottom.
The 44-year-old replaces Hugo Sanchez on the Almeria bench after the Mexican legend was sacked following the weekend defeat at Espanyol.
Lillo began coaching while still a teenager, and would become the youngest ever person to coach a Spanish first division side when he took over Salamanca in 1992 at the age of just 26.
His former sides include Real Oviedo, Tenerife, Zaragoza and most recently Real Sociedad.
Lillo will be presented to the press on Monday.
