Real Zaragoza To Stay With Gay Until End Of The Season
The struggling Spaniards will not be switching tacticians again just yet…
After a disastrous first half of the season, coach Marcelino was sacked over a week ago and Gay was promoted from the youth side to lead the first team into their visit to the Spanish capital to face Real Madrid.
Los Blancos dominated Zaragoza and the 6-0 final scoreline was so convincing that the club's boardroom were reportedly looking to change the direction of the club again with Gay demoted back to coaching the youth rank and Victor Munoz brought in on a contract that would last until June 30, 2010.
Zaragoza have today confirmed, though, that Gay will stay in charge until the end of the season.
Gay has quite a challenge to keep Zaragoza in La Liga as they are one place off the bottom of the standings with just 12 points from 15 games.
