I Don't Want Robinho To Join Barcelona - Jeffren Suarez
The youngster doesn't want the Brazilian at Camp Nou..
Barcelona youngster Jeffren Suarez has revealed, in an interview with Spanish daily Sport, that he doesn’t want Brazilian star Robinho to join Pep Guardiola’s squad.
When asked if he would like Robinho to join the club, Jeffren replied “Honestly, no". He also admitted that the forward’s arrival would limit his own first team opportunities.
"It would be more difficult for me and would mean I wouldn’t play as much."
The Venezuelan born winger also revealed that Guardiola "told us recently" that Robinho would not be arriving in January.
Jeffren, who replaced Thierry Henry for the last ten minutes of normal time in the FIFA World Club Cup final against Estudiantes at the weekend, also revealed his joy at following Barca’s historical victory in Abu Dhabi and the praise he received from his coach.
When asked what Pep said to him after the game, Jeffren added, “[Guardiola said] that the team was lacking speed and my participation addressed that".
