Johan Cruyff: It Will Be Disappointing If The Camp Nou Is Not Full For Catalunya-Argentina
The outspoken Dutchman has issued a call for regional support of Catalunya's 'national' team...
The coach of the national side, who are not recognised as a football-playing nation by FIFA, told Barcelona daily Sport: "Some of the players, for example Barcelona's, arrived at six in the morning to play this match – a match for which they will not be paid. It would be disappointing if the fans did not turn up to support them."
The former Barca player also passed comment on Diego Maradona, who will be serving out a suspension well into next year for comments toward Argentina's press following the Albiceleste's qualification for the World Cup, but will be present in Catalunya as a 'tourist'..
"The entire situation is a bit ridiculous," began the Dutchman. "But it is something FIFA rules on, not me. It is a little funny that Maradona will be here in hiding."
