Zinedine Zidane: I Want To Be A Director At Real Madrid

Footballing legend, Zinedine Zidane, already acting in an ambassadorial capacity for Real Madrid, is now setting his sights higher...

In an online chat with magazine France Football, former Real Madrid player and footballing legend Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he hopes to become a director at the club.

The word used by the Spanish media to describe the Frenchman's level of involvement in his former side is that of 'dirigente' an ambiguous term that neither confirms nor rules out the possibility that Zidane might want to coach his former team.

However, it is widely anticipated that the visionary midfielder would want to serve in an official capacity as a Sporting Director or a similar position.

Zidane currently serves in an ambassadorial position with his former club and is reported to be Madrid's liaison who convinced Florentino Perez to pursue Karim Benzema this past summer, as well as being Los Blancos' link to potentially signing Franck Ribery at the end of the present season.

In his current position, he is reportedly being groomed to take on more important responsibilities although the nature of those responsibilities have not yet been revealed.
