Barcelona Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain Refuses To Rule Out Transfer Window Signings
The Blaugrana may be ready to add to their squad this winter...
Coach Pep Guardiola has believed from the beginning of the campaign that his squad remains too small, something which Begiristain is also aware of.
The Blaugrana have been fortunate with injuries in the past year and their squad will be tested to the limit should they suffer the loss of a number of key individuals.
Spanish publication Sport reports that the former Barcelona player said, “We must be prepared, and there are different options on the table.
“But there are issues that we must first assess with Pep Guardiola and then make a decision. We must be ready to act quickly if necessary.”
Barcelona have been linked with a number of potential signings in January, particularly Juan Mata of Valencia, who was linked with a switch to the Camp Nou in the summer of 2009.
