Barcelona will not sign Robinho in the January transfer window, neither to a loan deal nor a permanent move to the Camp Nou, according to Sport.

At the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, Blaugrana supremo Joan Laporta reportedly met with Sheik Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyam, Manchester City's primary shareholder, to discuss the possibility of transferring the Brazilian starlet back to La Liga (Robinho left Real Madrid to join Manchester City as England's most expensive signing two summers ago).

In a chat with his team before the Club World Cup, coach Pep Guardiola assured his squad that he has full confidence in them and that he is satisfied with his current players' ability to perform. With Barca set to take on Estudiantes in the Club World Cup final on Saturday for the chance to win an historic sixth consecutive title, it is difficult to argue with the Barca coach with respect to team's abilities.

Robinho had reportedly expressed his desire to move to Barcelona to his Manchester City team-mates, but when a transfer began to look less likely, he publicly declared that he could "see himself in England for five or ten years".
