At the official presentation of the 'Jabulani' Adidas ball to be used in next summer's World Cup in South Africa, Gonzalo Higuain did not hesitate in expressing his views on Barcelona's potential fortunes in the Club World Cup.

"We know that Barca is playing at a high level and has a great possibility to win the competition, but I hope they do not have the luck of winning the title", declared the Real Madrid ace.

Meanwhile, the striker was optimistic about Argentina's chances of lifting the World Cup in South Africa next summer, saying he hopes to "reach the semi-finals, play against Spain, and then lift the trophy as world champions".

The Argentine praised Spain's quality and also mentioned Brazil as one of the best in the world, but emphasised Argentina's historic performances on the world stage and hoped that next summer would be the same.

Higuain has only recently broken into Diego Maradona's Argentina side and now hopes to make the Albiceleste coach's final squad for next summer's much-anticipated tournament.
