Real Madrid Supremo Florentino Perez: There Is Still Much Left To Do
Madrid chief Perez recognises that Los Blancos are on a good path to success, but believes it is also a long one...
In the presentation of a book about Portuguese starlet Cristiano Ronaldo, 'Sueños Cumplidos' (Dreams Realised), Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had some words of reserved encouragement when reflecting on the first six months of his neo-galacticos' season.
"We are on a good path", the Madrid president commented on the first half of the 2009-10 season, "but we still have a lot to do. We need to be ambitious."
Of Cristiano Ronaldo, the topic of the book being presented, Perez said "He wants to give everything and Madrid does as well; this is a very good combination. We need players who refuse to believe that dreams are impossible".
Real Madrid are out of the Copa del Rey but currently sit in second place, five points behind Barcelona with one game to catch up, and await the Champions League round of 16 draw having won a difficult group containing Marseille and Milan.
