Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has declared that no matter what happens at the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, where Barcelona will hope to win their sixth consecutive trophy, his team have already made history by securing the Triplete last season along with the Spanish and European Supercups this season.

"I think this club has already made history, but we want more and that is why we are here," announced the central defender.  Puyol admitted that the squad was a bit tired after the long trip from Barcelona to Abu Dhabi (with a layover in Istanbul, Turkey), but went on to say that "We are accustomed to playing lots of matches without much in the way of rest, so it's not something new for us".  The captain did, however, express his pleasure with the warm temperatures, calling the desert heat "agreeable".

In the same press conference, Ukrainian defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy expressed his own desire to win his first title with Barcelona, commenting that "this is the best Barcelona side in history" and that for him, "winning is like a drug".
