Argentine forward Alejandro 'Chori' Dominguez has passed a medical exam today [Monday] at Valencia ahead of a free transfer from Rubin Kazan, according to the Spanish club's official website.

The exam along with the drafting of the contract are the final steps to be taken so that the Rubin Kazan striker will be able to complete his transfer to La Mestalla.

The club has already reached a verbal agreement with the player and the contract for the 28-year-old is likely to run until the end of the 2012-13 season.

Dominguez was recently named the best player in the Russian League with Rubin, the club he joined from Zenit St. Petersburg, having had spells with Quilmes and River Plate in his homeland.
