Real Madrid Star Kaka Out Until January - Report

According to a report in Spanish daily AS, the Brazilian ace will not be playing until 2010 at the earliest as his troubles with a groin strain continue...

Real Madrid star Kaka faces a lengthy period out of action after being told the groin injury he sustained against Barcelona last month is more serious than first thought.

According to a report in AS, Kaka will be out for at least a month, meaning he misses a key game in the Champions League against Marseille, as well as the trip to Valencia this weekend.

It means that Madrid will be without both of their stellar summer signings as Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended for the Mestalla game after being sent off in Saturday's 4-2 win over Almeria.

It is thought Los Blancos are keen to ensure the Brazilian recovers fully before returning to action.

A source close to the club told AS, "Kaka is an important player for this project and we are not going to risk a couple of games. If he rests and heals well, then he will be back in the new year."

It's not the news Los Merengues wanted to hear as they are currently five points behind league leaders Barcelona.
