Barcelona Chase Bordeaux Midfielder Abdou Traore - Report

The Blaugrana are readying a bid for the promising young star...

Ligue 1 : Abdou Traore (Bordeaux)
Barcelona are tracking Bordeaux midfielder Abdou Traore and are preparing a January bid for the 21-year old.

The Spanish giants have watched with intrigue as the Mali international has established himself in the first team of the Ligue 1 side, and has developed under the tutelage of coach Laurent Blanc.

Goal.com Spain reports that Blaugrana tactician Pep Guardiola has been thoroughly impressed by Traore and is set to make an offer to capture his signature.

Guradiola has used a number of players in the holding role position at the Camp Nou, including Yaya Toure, youth product Sergio Busquets and expensive purchase Seydou Keita.

Barcelona have been linked with a number of other players to bolster their squad for their bid to retain trio of titles, including former Real Madrid star Robinho, Javier Mascherano and even Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

However, it seems that a move for Traore is the most likely deal to succeed given the player’s young age, and the fact that he would be available at a reasonable price.
