We Cannot Play Well In Every Game - Barcelona Midfielder Seydou Keita

Barcelona's Seydou Keita celebrates his strike against Sporting Gijon
Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita has declared that it is impossible for his team to play well in every game and added that it is important to win when not playing at their best.

The champions were not at their best in overcoming Andalusian outfit Xerez on a battered surface at the Chapin stadium on Wednesday night. Goals from Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic secured the three points against the Primera Liga strugglers and Keita admitted that the game was mentally tough after the win against Madrid in El Clasico.

"The game was complicated mentally by the fact that it came after playing against Real Madrid and also because the pitch was not good," he told Sport.

"If we have to play badly, it's best to win. It is impossible to play well in every game and it's hard to win games when not playing well.

The Mali midfielder suggested that with Barca now five points clear the onus is now on those chasing them to win their games in hand to close the gap.

"Sure we have played a game more but the other teams have to win now," he commented.
