Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez says his team can overcome Barcelona over two legs in the fifth round of the Copa del Rey next month.

Los Nervionenses against the cup holders is the tie of the round with the Andalusian outfit travelling to Camp Nou for the first leg in early January before hosting Barca a week later.

"The Copa is not won by the best team, but the team who has more luck in the games. We can beat Barca in 180 and in 90 minutes. I'm very confident in my players, but it is not easy because Barcelona is a great team," Jimenez told a press conference.

"Last year Barcelona was untouchable and we could not compete with them, it now appears that the difference is less and we will try to beat them."

Jimenez also said that his current injury list could have a big impact on their ability to overcome Barcelona in the Copa next month.

"We have lost a lot [through injury], and do not know how the injuries will go. If all the injured recover, we can do well, if not, we can get quite hurt. Let's see how we go until January, depending on the strength, the tie will be more or less complicated," he stated.
