Athletic Bilbao have successfully ended contract negotiations with forward Iker Muniain. The highly rated youngster has signed a new deal at the Basque side until June 2015.

His buyout clause will range between €36 and €45 million depending on the performances of the 16-year-old, according to an official statement on the La Liga outfit's website.

Muniain is a product of the Athletic Bilbao youth academy and is widely considered as one one of the most exciting prospects around. The striker has made seven league appearances for Bilbao so far.

He became the youngest player to score in a Primera Division match, as he netted in a 2–2 draw at Real Valladolid on 4 October 2009, aged only 16 years and 289 days.
