Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has stated that El Clasico is an "exceptional" game with far greater significance in world football than the Milan derby.
Ibra scored the only goal of the game in Sunday evening's close fought victory over Real Madrid and after describing the feeling of scoring in the game as "amazing", he said that there is no comparison between scoring in this fixture and scoring for Inter in the Milan derby.
"I had scored in the Milan-Inter [derby], but doing it in El Clasico is much better. There is no comparison to any other game," he told Sport.
"It's a game with an international impact, it is a world wide fixture. Everywhere knows that Barca-Madrid is an exceptional game. I watched the game from the bench first and then on the pitch. When you see the atmosphere, the pressure and the noise you realise it is a unique game.
"El Clasico was beautiful but it is easier when you score after five minutes. It was a unique moment. The goal gives great confidence to the team and to myself. Thanks again Dani Alves."
