Bruno Soriano Declares Villarreal Must Start Winning Away From Home
He targets a win in the Europa League as their first away win of the season...
Villarreal midfielder Bruno Soriano says his team must bounce back from their weekend defeat to Sporting Gijon by winning away to Levski Sofia in the Europa League on Wednesday.
The Yellow Submarine have not won away from home since their Europa League qualifier against NAC Breda of the Netherlands in mid August and Soriano knows that is something his team must address.
"We are the first to know that things are not going as expected from the beginning of the season. In that game in Gijon we were not at our best and we know that away from home we are not doing things right," admitted Soriano, as quoted by AS.
"Now we must win in Sofia and that will not be easy, but we go in the hope of rediscovering our best form with a victory and we are psyched to achieve a breakthrough.
"It takes a lot to win away from home and this is something we should discuss and try to change it. This European competition is a good chance to do it."
