Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero said he was very happy after his side hammered Espanyol 4-0 at the Vicente Calderon stadium.

Kun scored two second half goals to add to Diego Forlan's 27th minute opener before helping Maxi Rodriguez to a late strike to complete the four goal rout of the Blanc I Blau.

The win ends a three game losing streak in the league for Los Colchoneros and gives them their first league win since October 3 when they defeated Real Zaragoza.

"We are pleased, we had a very bad streak and finally today we have something for the fans to enjoy. In addition, the team played well, so we are very happy," he declared afterwards, according to AS.

"I had faith and I was lucky that I got a goal and the team won."

The striker also said he was happy to see fellow Argentinian Maxi Rodriguez get on the score sheet.

"I am delighted for him [Rodriguez], he needed to score," he commented.
