Real Zaragoza Coach Criticises 'Lack Of Punch' As Team Lose To Osasuna

The coach believes his side aren't converting their chances...

Zaragoza
Real Zaragoza coach Marcelino Garcia Toral blamed the loss to Osasuna on his side's lack of cutting edge in front of goal.

Javad Nekounam's 27th minute goal proved enough to allow the visitors to collect all three points, and edge Osasuna clear of the drop zone and into the top half of the table.

Marcelino believes that his strikers' inability to convert their chances was a major contributing factor to surrendering the victory.

He told journalists after the match, "We managed to sort some aspects of our game today but we did not test the opposition goalkeeper enough. We dominated long spells of the match but could not score.

"In the second half the opposition goalkeeper did not have a save and although we played direct football with a lot of pace, we could not find the breakthrough."

Real Zaragoza have enjoyed an excellent run of results at home that has helped their move back into the top flight after being promoted last season.

Their next Primera Division fixture is a trip to Mallorca who have a formidable record at home this season.
