Osasuna Coach Jose Antonio Camacho Pleased With Win Over Real Zaragoza
The experienced boss was pleased with the efforts of his players in their hard-fought win...
Osasuna coach Jose Antonio Camacho was delighted with the performance of his players following their 1-0 win over Osasuna this evening to edge the men from Pamplona further away from the relegation zone.
A first half strike by Javad Nekounam was enough to hand Camacho's side the three points despite the best efforts of the home side to fight their way back into the encounter.
The former Spain and Real Madrid coach told journalists after the match that he was pleased with the attacking prowess of his side.
He said, "We arrived at the game well and we showed definition today. This was an important victory today, because Zaragoza are a direct opponent of ours to stay in this league for next season.
"It was good for us to score and we added a good performance, because we can take confidence from this."
The win solidifies Osasuna's top half position in the Primera Division table, thanks to their first win in five matches.
Their next fixture is a trip to face struggling Malaga in a weeks' time.
