Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina was pleased with his sides' performance in their narrow 1-0 win over Racing Santander this afternoon, but admitted that they had their slice of luck in the victory.

A late goal from Alberto Lopo proved to be the difference between the sides as Deportivo continued their excellent early season form by securing another three points.

However, Lotina admitted that his side had luck on their side in order to secure the win, and he told journalists after the match, "We had a bit of luck in our win today."

"Racing fought hard but they could not find an equaliser, they made it difficult but I felt that we were more comfortable in the second half."

The experienced coach also added that he felt that the injury suffered by Lassad Nouioui during the match could be detrimental towards his team maintaining their excellent form.

The Tunisian international limped out of the match, and Lotina said of the player, "Lassad's injury will be a setback for the team, because he adds a lot to our squad."
