The coach was delighted with his side's convincing win...
Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros praised the strength of character shown by his players in their convincing 4-1 win over Almeria this afternoon.
In a comfortable win for the Basque side, a goal glut was offered and Fernando Llorente was among the scorers as Almeria were comprehensively beaten.
Speaking to journalists after the match, the coach said of the win, "In the opening period we lacked fluidity, although we managed to move the ball and do some damage. At 2-0 we managed to find more space.
"I am happy with the effort of all the players, this team gives its all and we are a team in every respect, working and fighting until the end."
Caparros also commented on the current form of his side, who have taken 10 points from a possible 12 in their last four matches, and insisted that they are capable of maintaining that standard throughout the season.
He added, ""We are going through a good streak, there is a lot of quality in this side and we maintain a good balance so that we can be in a good position by the end of the season."
Bilbao's next match is a trip to Austria Vienna in midweek in the Europa League.
