El Clasico is now less than 24 hours away, and Pep Guardiola has touched on some of the key issues ahead of the game.
There are plenty of questions still up in the air as the encounter draws ever closer, and first on the agenda was Real Madrid's approach at the Camp Nou. Speaking to Marca, Guardiola said, "It is not a coincidence that they are the leaders, but because they have done many things well."
"They have good defensive organization and individual qualities. They can play to dominate, but also on the counter.
"There is a general feeling that we play better football, but they are the leaders."
Guardiola then spoke about the role Cristiano Ronaldo might play, continuing, "I know that he is ready to play."
"Ronaldo playing does not mean that Madrid will start with a 1-0 lead."
Pep then moved on to his own side, stating, "I hope that they understood why we beat Inter, because that will be the key."
"We will see how Ibrahimovic are tomorrow and decide.
"Madrid can be beaten with or without Messi."
Finally, Guardiola ridiculed talk of Los Merengues seeking revenge after last years 6-2 loss at the Bernabeu, saying, "I believe that match is forgotten."
"There is a new coach, new players, a new league, a different stadium, and this game is not as decisive."
