Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros has included young prodigy Iker Muniain in his 18-man squad to face Almeria on Sunday.

The youngster had picked up an ankle injury while playing for Spain at the Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria earlier this month, but looks set to return to los Leones' first team.

Muniain, who is nicknamed 'Bart Simpson' by his team-mates, has already played 11 times in all competitions for the Basques, scoring three times.

The timing could not be better for Caparros, who received the news yesterday that Gaizka Toquero would not be able to make the trip to Almeria.

Toquero, who scored Athletic's equaliser against Barcelona last weekend, collided with 'keeper Gorka Iraizoz in training this week and injured his right ankle.

Athletic Bilbao squad to face Almeria: Iraizoz, Koikili, Ustaritz, Amorebieta, Etxeita, David Lopez, Llorente, Yeste, Armando, Susaeta, Iraola, Orbaiz, Gurpegi, Ion Velez, Castillo, Javi Martinez, Muniain, De Marcos.
