We Should Not Fear Being Favourites Against Mallorca - Valencia Coach Unai Emery
He says his team must detach themselves from the hype and expectation...
Los Che have suffered just one defeat in all competitions this season, away to Getafe in the Primera Liga in September, making them one of the teams to beat in the league and Emery says their present situation should not have a negative impact on how they perform.
"I'm not interested in comparisons or excessive hype. We are concerned that our current situation would impact on us negatively. We have to detach ourselves from the hype and maintain that balanced approach to continue along the same line of work the team has up to now," he told a press conference.
Going into this game Mallorca have a perfect home record with six straight wins but on the road have yet to win and Valencia are favourites to make that trend continue tonight.
"We are favourites, but that should not to scare us," Emery declared.
