Ateltico Madrid Striker Diego Forlan Hoping 'Bad Times' At An End
The Uruguayan wants to finish his career with Los Colchoneros...
Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has expressed his frustration at the club's lowly league position and the poor start to the season but says the team are working hard to change their situation.
"We must escape from the relegation zone as soon as possible. We are working really hard to make a change as soon as possible. It's hard to do it, but we are confident," he told the UEFA website.
"The big difference [compared to last season] is our position in the table and the fact that we're currently going through some bad times even though the squad is made up of the same players who enjoyed so much success last season."
The 30-year-old also declared that he hopes to finish his career at Los Colchoneros but knows that the decision is not solely his to make.
"I would like to end my career at Atletico, but it is not dependent only on me," he remarked.
