Dutch legend Johan Cruyff has claimed that treble champions Barcelona play "a thousand times better" than their bitter rivals Real Madrid ahead of Sunday's crucial Primera Liga showdown at Camp Nou.
It's good to see Barca playing the way they do. Everyone is hooked on their way of football and the technical quality. We must enjoy it," he told Sport.
"At this moment the champions play a thousand times better than [Real] Madrid."
Cruyff also said that the fact that Madrid have taken the lead in the title race going into this game has little significance on Sunday's tie but declared that the Blancos have time to improve as a team after virtually securing their place in the knockout stages of the competition.
"All those things are external and have nothing to do with the game. They're up there, they don't play well, but they are up there. They are also on the verge of progressing in the Champions League and have time to improve," he declared.
